Details Of Queen Elizabeth's Burial Day
The palace announced on Thursday that Queen Elizabeth II will be buried, next Monday, at 19:30 local time (18:30 GMT) during a special ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor Palace, west of London, after the national funeral in the morning in the capital.
On Friday evening, at 18:30 GMT, the Queen's children, including King Charles III, will meet around her coffin, which is lying in the Palace of Westminster in London, until the funeral of Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 at the age of 96 in Scotland.
Official funeral details
The state funeral, the first since the death of Winston Churchill in 1965, will be held at 10 GMT, next Monday, at Westminster Abbey, with the attendance of more than 2,000 guests, including hundreds of foreign leaders and members of the royal families.
After the funeral, the coffin will be carried on a cannon cart on a march through the streets of the British capital to Wellington Arch in Hyde Park Corner, where it will be carried into a car.
Upon arrival in Windsor, the casket will be taken to St George's Chapel, passing the magnificent Long Walk to Windsor Castle before a televised ceremony.
A prayer will be held at 15:00 GMT in the church attended by more than 800 people before the funeral, which is attended only by family members, without photographers or cameras.
Where will the queen be buried?
The Queen's coffin will lie in King George VI Chapel, adjacent to the main church, where her father and mother are buried, as well as the ashes of her sister, Princess Margaret.
Charles III will hold a reception for foreign leaders on Sunday.
