4 Secrets In King Charles III's Speech

King Charles and his son, Harry

The speech given by Britain's King Charles III - the first Friday - after ascending the British throne, may be the best he gives in his life, according to the British newspaper, "The Times".

That speech included messages with many meanings, which The Times tried to shed light on, in a report prepared by its correspondent, Gabriel Begrond. The following are the most important of them:

1- Serving Britain for life

King Charles III briefly referred to the pledge made by his mother on her 21st birthday, during a speech she gave in Cape Town, South Africa on April 21, 1947, when she was the Crown Princess of British, at which time she pledged to serve her country for life.

After 75 years, Charles announced that his mother fulfilled the pledge she made, pledging to follow in her steps and serve his country for life, in a move that the newspaper sees as his commitment to the simple central principle of Britain's Monaechy, as he - like his mother - will remain on the throne throughout his life.

2- Letters to the Commonwealth

The letter contained messages to the Commonwealth, among which he said: "Besides the personal grief of all of my family, we also share a profound feeling of gratitude to many of you in the United Kingdom, in all the countries where the Queen has been Head of State in the Commonwealth, and around the world with a profound feeling of gratitude for more than 70 years during which I served my mother, as the Queen of the peoples of many countries.

The Times correspondent believes that Charles wanted, through his words, to indicate that he would not only give priority to the United Kingdom, but to all the peoples with whom Queen Elizabeth remained firmly committed to the relationship, despite the development of that relationship into a more flexible bond.

3- Abandoning his previous activities

During his long tenure as heir to the British throne, Charles devoted a lot of time and resources to charitable work and was able to build a business empire to fund his various charities, according to the newspaper report.

The Times commented on this that the king did not state that he would stop participating in charitable works But he indicated that the greatest responsibility for these actions would be born by trusted and close people.

4- A message of reconciliation for Harry and Megan

During his speech, Charles said it was also a moment of change for his family. He addressed his son Prince William - who has become heir to the throne - with his new title of "Prince of Wales", a position held by the heirs to the British throne over successive centuries.

The newspaper said that during his speech the king made a bold offer of reconciliation with his son Harry and his wife Megan, whose relationship with the royal family was very strained, when he said, "I also want to express my love for Harry and Megan as they continue to build their lives abroad." The Times saw this as the beginning of a new era in King Charles' relationship with his youngest son.
