WHO Makes A Recommendation Regarding The Corona Vaccine
On Thursday, August 18, 2022, the Independent Vaccine Council attached to the World Health Organization recommended for the first time that the elderly receive a second booster dose of a vaccine against Covid-19.
Alejandro Crabiotto, head of the Strategic Advisory Group of Immunologists in Geneva, stressed that this does not mean a recommendation to give a periodic booster dose every four or six months. The age group for whom you wish to give a second booster dose.
In theory, doses should be given between four and six months after receiving the first booster dose or catching COVID-19.
Moreover, the Strategic Advisory Group of Immunologists recommends health professionals of all ages get a second booster dose, as well as those with weakened immune systems or other diseases that increase the risk of severe illness after a respiratory infection.
