The platform is updated periodically with the availability of new alternatives, where accommodations are added continuously, including fan villages that will be for camping lovers and an unconventional atmosphere, which will be in 6 different locations and provide integrated services and entertainment for fans at reasonable prices.

Exceptional experience

In turn, the Executive Director of the Housing Department at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Omar Abdul Rahman Al Jaber, says that the fans will live an exceptional experience through the possibility of staying in one residence throughout the tournament and attending more than one match per day during the group stage, in addition to providing an ideal transportation experience.

Al-Jaber added - in an interview with the Qatari newspaper Al-Raya - that the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy launched the official residence platform and is working with all its capabilities to ensure that fans have access to diverse and innovative housing options at reasonable prices for all, explaining that the various accommodation options on the platform include hotels and residential units, such as villas, apartments, floating hotels, fan villages, vacation homes, accommodations with friends and family, and other housing options.

Baraha Al-Janoub achieved the highest requests for accommodation since the launch of the official residence platform. The audiences that most booked on the accommodation platform at the international level were: the United States, Mexico, then Argentina, followed by the United Kingdom, and at the Arab level: Saudi Arabia and then Kuwait.

Al-Jaber pointed out that nearly 130,000 rooms were provided for more than one million fans who are expected to come to the country throughout the tournament, ensuring the provision of 3.64 million hotel nights, thus offering appropriate and innovative options for fans. He pointed out that all the housing units that were selected - whether they are buildings or complex Residentials- will be fully furnished and equipped.

The Qatari official revealed the availability of floating hotels that will dock in Doha Port and will provide fans with about 4,000 rental cabins that can accommodate about 9,500 people. These ships will remain anchored throughout the World Cup so that guests can move freely during entry and exit, as is the case in hotels, where they will be providing a dedicated line to transport the public to the Doha Port area and the floating hotels.

The floating hotels will offer a variety of room options, from traditional cabins overlooking the sea to rooms with balconies and luxurious suites, and will also offer multiple dining options, entertainment programs for all ages, and all services available on the ship.

Al Jaber added that Qatar will provide 6 sites for fan villages spread over several areas, consisting of temporary villages and mobile cabins that provide integrated and recreational services for fans at reasonable prices, in addition to the city of cabins in Messila and Al Khor camp, which contains 200 tents that reflect the Qatari character.

Fan villages are ideal for fans who want to be in the heart of the tournament atmosphere and easily commute to Doha and the stadiums, and it will be available to fans of camping and a funky atmosphere, with many options and recreational activities. The facilities in the fan villages include a number of food outlets that serve a wide range of foods.

Holiday homes offer visitors during the World Cup a variety of accommodations available with their exquisite designs, as well as customized services, and are located in different parts of the city, according to need. The holiday homes are distinguished from other accommodation options with additional facilities, such as swimming pools, gyms, and children's playgrounds.

The Qatari official explains that the convergent nature of the State of Qatar will contribute to limiting the fans' need for one accommodation during their stay in Qatar, and will allow them to move easily and watch more than one match during the group stage. He pointed out that the fans will benefit from the state's investment in the developed transportation network over the past years, which contributed to approximating distances between the stadiums of the tournament.
